WEEK 3 - Taklimat Chapter 1 & 3

For the week 3, Dr. A.K.M. Zakir Hossain gives us a briefing about chapters 1 and 3.
For chapter 1 is Introduction and for chapter 3 is Methodology.



To write the Introduction, we need to include:

• research background

• problem statement

• objective

• scope of research

• thesis organization

For Methodology, there is a research process which are:

• Phase 1: Deciding what to research

• Phase 2: Planning a research study

• Phase 3: Conducting a research study

The DO & DON'T to write the methodology

• use the past tense to describe what you did

• order procedures chronologically or by type of procedures

• don't include details of common statistical procedures

• do not mix results with procedures

Chapter 3 shall consist of this but not limited to:

• introduction

• experiment/ study design

• elaboration of process flow

• parameter studies

• testing and characterization
